Street Lighting
Settle Town Council owns 168 street lights throughout Settle and pay for the maintenance and upgrading costs. The other street lights in Settle are the responsibility of North Yorkshire Council.

Settle Town Council has a continuous improvement program to replace the old lamps with LED lamps to reduce the Town’s light pollution, energy costs and it’s carbon footprint. Details of a recent street light upgrade project in Upper Settle can be viewed here.
Reporting problems with street lights
Settle Town Council street lights have a small metal plate on with an identifying LP number on. If you find a street light out please make a note of this number and ring the Council on 01729 823617 or email: clerk@settletowncouncil.gov.uk
