On Friday the 13th of January the high winds and awful weather caused the flag pole on the top of Castlebergh to snap. The flag pole was behind repair and unfortunately the Council’s insurance company would not cover the cost of a replacement.

Settle Town Council has welcomed the decision by Craven District Council’s Planning Committee to reject the controversial application to replace the former public toilets in Ashfield car park with flats and commercial spaces.
Settle Town Council Proposed Budget 2023-24 Settle Town Council will be requesting a precept of £130,764 which is the equivalent of a £14.90 per annum or £1.24 per month increase for the whole year on a Band D property. This is collected as part of your Council Tax.
